Posting with the DS evidence.

So here are the pictures of my DS as I was posting on my blog.
Why post with my DS?
1) it's fun to see if I could do it.
2) While I am in Comox there is no Internet so that means that I won't be able to post. Except at an Internet Cafe or the best western which has a DS hotspot.
3) If I am near an area where is has a DS compatible hotspot I can make quick posts.

Posting with my Nintendo DS

Just seeing if I can post using my NDS & the browser software. It looks like I can. Talk to you all later. I am going to post pictures to show that this is real.

Firsts Months Rent In Japanese Yen

Here is my first months rent for the guesthouse in Japanese Yen (75,000 JPY or CAD $680.00)

More Details about the place I am staying in.
monthly Rent for 1 person: 75,000
9.73 sq Meters or 6 tatami
Located in Ueno, not far from Akihabara
# 204 of Uguisudani "B"

So since i get into Tokyo so late I won't be able get into my room until the 10th of Oct so I have bought some more JPY (55,000) for renting a room for a night and food and a little spending money in Shinjuku and if I have any left over in Akihabara. So my plan is to get my Key early in the morning and drop off my luggage and head right to Akihabara.

I'll post more later on in the week...maybe getting around to record some Japanese and posting it.

My Japanese lesson for today and posting pics

A phrase i'll will be using a lot besides Sumimasen (excuse me) is nedan o kaite moraemas ka (can you write down the price?)
I am also learning about how to post audio since I will be taking my tape recorder or my mp3 player that can record so people can hear my pronunciation and correct me.

Also I am testing how the pictures post.

All post more of my bachelor pad later. Also I will be opening commenting to everyone , but they will me moderated and there will be an extra step for posting comments.

Also for those that are wondering about my signature, a long time ago I found a website (http://www.live365.com) for streamed music, well more live internet radio. DDR Freak radio is one of the stations I like. I love the energy of DDR and dance music but I have never played DDR.

Preparations for Japan.

I done a lot of preparations for going to Japan, I have gotten my passport, bought a few books.
A lonely planet Japan guide and phrasebook
A Larousse phrasebook and a Random House English - Japanese dictionary.
As well as some new clothes.
I am working on a guide for things I am going to do there, place to see.
As well as learning to read, write and speak Japanese, teaching myself is taking a lot of energy and discipline. I can speak a few words. You think that all these years of watching to fan subs that I would be able to speak more of the language.
I also have a place to stay there in a guesthouse in Ueno...not that far from Akihabara or the main train lines.

Why I am going to Japan.

People often ask me why I chose to go to Japan for a trip. I say "Why not!". I have been interested in the Japanese cultural for a long time..aka anime and manga...Although they are just one part of Japan it is the reason why I wanted to go.
The one huge reason I am going is because of one district in Tokyo: Akihabara.
What is Akihabara? Well just wait and see when I get there.
