Day 2: Akihabara trip #2

Toyko time: 2:28pm

Again I didn't spend much time in Akihabara only a few hours, on Sunday I want to spend the whole day there, since that is when the real action happens.

I had left for Shinjuku around 10:30 and went to the Citi Bank, tried my debit card, it seemed to work I took out 40,000, the machine told my that my balance was 0, which was weird I thought, I wanted to check my account balance when I got back, then I headed over to Akihabara, I wanted to visit the Azobit City again, but I found a place that has great deals on the figures, the Revoltech figures I wanted where about 1,800 yen, while I have seen them go for 4,000yen other places. So I am going to go there tomorrow and buy some more figures there...Lets see it I think it was the 4th floor of the "K-book building"
I also visited the Volks show room, I only wish I could take pictures it was so beautiful, not atomkicker's type of place but I was in heaven, I should really be taking notes or something so I don't forget what floor stuff I find is on and also for price comparison.
Well any way on the way to Akiba an elderly man got on the train and I gave him my seat, he deeply bowed and thanked me again once he got off.

For the past few days every foreigner I pass has not said a word to me, few have looked me in the eye, but today I came across a group of Americans who where looking for the SEGA building, I didn't have my map with me so I didn't actually know where it was, but later on I had found it, and being the nice neighbor for the north I went out of my way to find them and tell them where it was. I didn't find them. At first they thought that I was American, but I told them I was Canadian.
It looked like they were relived that someone spoke English and was willing to help them.

As I left for the train station I saw some maids handing out flyer's, I 100% want to check out at least one maid cafe while I am here.

There was this great place that had capsule figures I had bought a few the most expensive one was bout 3,000 yen but it's a big one. I looked for some Genshiken ones that had only two, one of Saki Kasukabe in her bathing suit and another of Makoto Kousaka that was unpainted, I searched high and low for the others but I didn't find any, I found lots of Kujibiki Unbalance figures, I looked around since I thought that it wold make sense to have the two together but no. I will have to look in yellow submarine. So there is a few more things on my wish list that I can tick off.

That is strange..The last few pictures I took are not on my camera...
So All the pictures I took of Ahiba and my haul today are gone...

More cool anime collectibles! That's a great little Haruhi -- and is that Saya from Blood Plus on the left? I don't remember the green guy, was he from Power Rangers or something...? He looks like the sort of way-out space monster that used to hassle them.

I think the pick of the litter is that great little Tachikoma -- if I remember correctly, they were available to us as an import for about five seconds, but were hugely expensive and impossible to re-order. I don't think they even arrived in the end. Good score!

If you find a sushi bar with a conveyor belt you don't have to talk to anybody if you don't want to (although it's always nice to say arigatou gozaimashita). Just grab a plate you like off the conveyor belt and pay up at the end. Also, you are ten minutes from the best train station ramen in the world! Try some for my sake at least. :)

I am beginning to think I am about the food as much as you are about the anime collectibles. :D
